The Clover Design Store is a homeware and furnishing boutique based in Mount Maunganui. It was important for the interior to reflect the ethos of the store which we aimed to communicate through the design. Texture was a key start point; timber, handmade, honed tiles and a heavily grained stunning green marble all speak to the earthy, natural and authentic artisanal appeal of the shop. Specific zoning allows for the products to tell their story, and flow is vital to the overall experience. Lifting the ceiling height by employing strategies such as vertical textured brush paneling and beautiful finger tiled columns avoided any structural changes, and these columns were also used for dramatic effect. By tiling from the exterior through to the interior a stunning entrance was created, setting the tone of the store within.
