This is a statement kitchen, but one with state-of-the-art functionality. The client wanted a masculine space, but with three children it also needed to be both robust and overarchingly practical. Warm toned oak timber has been juxtaposed against the more industrial feel of the stainless-steel benchtops, while the use of black timber brings in the masculine vibe. The black tapware talks to the edginess of the overall story, and the appliances have been seamlessly incorporated into this look. While the expanse of steel is striking, its uber thin profile makes a strong visual statement. The ‘clean’ feel was enhanced by the large format tile splashback that eliminated grout lines, emphasizing the modern, pared back finish.

"Kath has helped me on a number of projects both personally and professionally. She has an uncompromising eye for detail. Her ability to bring design elements together into a cohesive palette is exceptional. She has added a lot of value through her extensive network of suppliers and contractors. I have completely enjoyed working with Kath and look forward to the next projects we can work on together." - Jonty
